Large title cartouche , dedication and scale of miles cartouches, a elaborately engraved border and panels at sides with the names of famous people. From 1606 English text edition. MATTHEW QUAD 1557-1613 A German cartographer active in Cologne at the end of the sixteenth century: his maps were printed by Johannes Bussemacher. Based on the Ortelius map.Good strong impression,in very good condition. ~Rare example of this Quad map.

Early copper engraving of Marseille by Hogenberg.Much rarer than the Braun and Hogenberg series.Depicts battle with Spanish?Dated 15th February 1596.Very good condition.

Very scarce map.From the Barent Langenes Caert Thresoor of 1598 and this is the 1600 French text edition.Engraved by Petrus Kaerius (Van Der Keere). This small but attractive atlas was sold for the first time in 1599 by Cornelis Claesz in Amsterdam.
