RARE Charming map of the Kingdom of Naples, the 'boot' or southern portion of Italy. The map is filled with meticulously engraved towns and topography, while the sea is stipple engraved with calligraphic titling in the Italian style. The map has a delicately rendered decorative cartouche.MINT CONDITION MUCH BETTER THAN SCAN

Very scarce map.From the Barent Langenes Caert Thresoor of 1598 and this is the 1600 French text edition.The Italy maps were engraved by Petrus Kaerius (Van Den Keere). This small but attractive atlas was sold for the first time in 1599 by Cornelis Claesz in Amsterdam.
