Florida

£275

This rare, small map of the Spanish possessions in North America covers the region south of the Great Lakes (Lac du Chat) to the Gulf of Mexico and Florida. It is drawn from Nicolas Sanson's influential map (La Floride) of 1657. The French claims are shown in Florida Francica but Port Royal is named Charles fort instead of Sanson's Carolina. German text is below the map.

Rare highly collectable rare map in mint condition.
