Full Title: A Map of Great Tibet, drawn from that made by Lama Mathematicians

Detailed early map of Tibet in original colour by G. Child.

Covers the Tibetan mountainous region, Gobi desert and Kashgar in now Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The plate was engraved by G. Child from the Vol. IV, Plate No.154 of the book "A New General Collections of Voyages and Travels" published in 1745 printed from Thomas Astley. As the title suggests, instead of made from astronomical observations this map was made based on the observations of Dalai Lama mathematicians.
