A superb pair of collectable ninettenth century photographs of the forum in Rome printed 1880 circa.

In 1854 the three Alinari brothers, Leopoldo, Romualdo and Giuseppe, founded the photography firm of Fratelli Alinari and began documenting architectural and artistic monuments in Florence and later throughout Italy and Europe.

Most major institutions hold examples of the Fratelli Aliniari photographs
